Clothing and home products retailer Next has issued another product recall, this time on a Chinese dining furniture set.

The Office for Product Safety and Standards issued the recall from Next after discovering that the Next Cole Corner Bench Set showed safety concerns over injury or entrapment.

A statement said: “The product has been recalled as it was identified that the legs of the bench could collapse. This could potentially result in entrapment or personal injury. The product does not comply with the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.”

Next has recalled the product from end users, which follows on from its other furniture recall back in May, also from a Chinese source.

This product was the Next Storage Footstools, which were flagged due to the legs not being welded correctly potentially causing a break and injury to the user.
