UK sales return to growth at Dutch lighting group

The UK division of Dutch lighting group TRILUX has reported an increase in turnover as losses narrowed.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2022, total sales rose 53.4% to £28.5m from £18.5m in 2021.

Pre-tax losses resulted at £658,000, narrowing from a loss of £1.2m recorded the previous year.

Stated within its report, the group said that the year started with a strong first quarter with trading ahead of targets.

“Offering services to the market such as instalments and turnkey projects, opened new opportunities resulting in new large projects for a supermarket chain,” the business added.

Gross margin contribution increased by 2.8% year-on-year, while general costs increased 10.9% due to higher freight costs and salaries, which contributed to its overall year-end loss.
