Hardwood furniture retailer Oak Furnitureland has appointed Patrick Lewis as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Patrick, the great-grandson of John Spedan Lewis – the founder of department store retailer John Lewis, will take over from departing Emily Tate, who has been in the role for the last four years.
Oak Furnitureland said that Patrick brings ‘a wealth of retail experience’ to the company, who has previously served over 26 years in various senior roles during his time at the John Lewis Partnership.
These included three years a Managing Director and four years as Supply Chain Director. Patrick left John Lewis back in December 2020.
Following the appointment, Patrick will also join Oak Furnitureland’s board and will play a ‘critical role’ as the retailer looks to accelerate its growth strategy.
Alex Fisher, Chief Executive of Oak Furnitureland, said: “We are delighted to have appointed Patrick Lewis as CFO of Oak Furnitureland. Patrick joined the business on 22nd July and brings with him a wealth of retail experience. Patrick will play a critical role in the company as we look to accelerate our strategy to make Oak Furnitureland even more accessible to a wider customer base and drive growth and brand awareness in the market.
“Patrick’s appointment follows the departure of Emily Tate as CFO after nearly four years in the role. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank Emily for her positive contribution to the business and wish her the very best for the future.”
