Textiles supplier grows sales to almost £70m

Home textiles supplier Cleland McIver has reported a growth in turnover as sales almost reached £70m.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 September 2021, total sales rose 19.5% to £69.6m from £58.2m in 2020.

Gross profit reduced slightly from £11.9m to £11.6m, while pre-tax profit resulted at £1.5m, down from £2.5m the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company, which supplies home furnishing retailer Dunelm, said that it has completed the setup of its new distribution unit, which is bespoke to retail and online requirements, aimed to boost future growth.
