Textiles supplier grows sales beyond £70m

Home textiles supplier Cleland McIver has reported a growth in turnover as sales surpassed £70m.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 September 2022, total sales rose 8.7% to £75.7m from £69.6m in 2021. Pre-tax profit resulted at £3.4m, up from £1.5m the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company, which supplies home furnishing retailer Dunelm, said that it has been well placed to support Dunelm’s ongoing expansion and ‘looks forward’ to continue the partnership as they expect it to maintain a ‘positive trend’.

“Gross profit now stands at 23% (up from 17%). This has been achieved by a combination of good cost management and well negotiated forward exchange contracts,” the business added.
