Specialist furniture maker sales rise under new ownership

Education and office furniture manufacturer Metalliform has reported a growth in sales.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 June 2023, total sales rose 6.8% to £15.6m from £14.6m in 2022.

Pre-tax profit resulted at £981,000, down from £1.4m recorded in the previous year.

Stated within its report, Metalliform said: “The company has had a successful first year under new ownership. Turnover has grown and operating profit has remained steady.

“We have made substantial investment in the company to ensure future plans to increase both turnover and profitability as we enter our next growth phase.”

In November 2022, Metalliform was sold to Dunham Massey Investment Group. Metalliform retained its senior management and now has access to a wider client base and new sources of funding under its new ownership.
