Sleepeezee donates £32k to BHF through Travelodge mattress sales

Luxury mattress manufacturer Sleepeezee has announced a charitable contribution of £32,000 to the British Heart Foundation, stemming from the proceeds of their Travelodge Dreamer mattress sales in 2023.

Through their partnership, Sleepeezee has demonstrated a steadfast dedication to supporting heart health initiatives, underscoring their mission to improve lives through quality sleep and wellness.

For each Travelodge Dreamer mattress sold, Sleepeezee has pledged to donate £20 to the British Heart Foundation, making a significant commitment to advancing cardiovascular health research and awareness.

“We are thrilled to announce our donation of £32,000 to the British Heart Foundation, a cause that resonates deeply with our values and aspirations”, said Steve Warren, Managing Director at Sleepeezee. “At Sleepeezee, we believe that quality sleep is fundamental to overall wellbeing, and we are honoured to support the British Heart Foundation in their mission to combat heart disease and improve lives.”

The British Heart Foundation, a leading charity dedicated to fighting heart and circulatory diseases, plays a pivotal role in funding groundbreaking research, providing lifesaving support, and raising awareness to prevent heart and circulatory diseases. The charity is working towards a world free from the fear of heart and circulatory diseases, which affect around 7.6m people across the UK. Currently, they are funding research into specific sleep related projects which are to discover the links between healthy sleep and a healthy heart. Sleepeezee’s generous contribution will bolster these efforts, empowering the British Heart Foundation to continue making strides towards a healthier, happier future for individuals worldwide.

“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sleepeezee for their generous donation and incredible commitment to our cause”, said Dr Ross King, Head of Research Engagement at British Heart Foundation. “Thanks in part to the support of Sleepeezee, we are funding over £440m of game-changing cardiovascular research across the UK, including cutting-edge projects researching the links between healthy sleep and healthy hearts. Together, we can prevent more people developing heart and circulatory diseases in future, and make sure those with existing conditions and risk factors are detected and treated early, with more effective medicines and interventions.”
