Garden furniture retailer White Stores has reported a decline in sales and profit.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2022, total sales resulted at £47.6m, down 8% from £51.8m in 2021 – although this was over a prior 16-month period due to change in year end.

Pre-tax profit stood at £1.1m for the year under review, down from £8m, while gross profit margin reduced from 56% to 29%.

Stated within its report, White Stores said: “The business will continue with its current plans for being the UK’s leading outdoor living eCommerce driven business, with its strategic showrooms in the south of England.”
