Project delay hinders bespoke kitchen business

Bespoke kitchen company Roundhouse Design has reported a slight decline in sales while profit halved.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2021, total sales fell 13% to £10m from £11.5m in 2020.

Gross profit remained static at £3.5m, while pre-tax profit resulted at £436,000, down from £1m recorded the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said the decline reflects a decrease in income from a significant project to install 56 units in a residential development, which was successfully completed in the year.

Roundhouse added that showroom sales have ‘held up in line’ with the previous year.
