Office furniture maker sees export boost as sales grow

Office furniture manufacturer Elite has reported a growth in sales to over £20m.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 January 2022, total sales rose 21.4% to £20.4m from £16.8m in 2021.

Gross profit remained flat at £8.7m, while pre-tax profit resulted at £3.9m, down slightly from its profit of £4.4m recorded the previous year.

Stated within its report, Elite said UK sales were up 11.9% to £18.7m from £16.7m, while EU revenues also rose 128% to £270,000 from £118,000.

However, sales from outside the UK and EU jumped to £1.4m from £4,000 year-on-year.
