Office furniture maker maintains sales and profit growth

The UK division of Swiss office furniture manufacturer Vitra has reported a growth in sales as turnover surpassed £20m.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2023, total sales rose 5% to £20.9m from £19.9m in 2022.

Pre-tax profit resulted at £961,000, significantly improving from £59,000 recorded the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said: “Turnover increased by £944,000 (4.7%) from 2022 due to improved market conditions. Operating profit increased to 4.0% of turnover, from 0.2% in 2022.

“The directors are of the opinion that the turnover in 2024 will show an improvement over 2023 and 2024 is still expected to be a profitable year.”
