MPD Furniture director Paul Donnelly sadly passes away

Northern Ireland furniture wholesaler MPD Furniture has announced the sad passing of director Paul Donnelly at the age of 55.

MPD Furniture confirmed his funeral took place over the weekend and said he will be deeply missed.

“Paul R.I.P. beloved husband of Mairead and loving father of Tiernan, Shea, Daire, son of the late Joe and Mary Donnelly and dear brother of Margaret, Teresa, Colette, Martin, John, Francis Michael and the late Jody. Deeply regretted by his wife, sons, mother-in-law Helen Doyle, brothers, sisters, sisters in law, brothers in law, nephews, nieces and extended family circle,” an obituary said.

The Irish Furniture and Homewares Show also paid tribute to Paul: “We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Paul Donnelly, MPD Furniture. Paul has contributed so much to the Furniture Industry in Ireland and has been a great presence and character at the Irish Furniture and Homewares Show throughout the years. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all of us and the wider furniture industry. Our deepest sympathies to Paul’s wife Mairead, his sons Tiernan, Shea and Daire and to Roisin and all at MPD Furniture. May he Rest in Peace.”
