Modern Motion partners with Doy Design on new sustainable ranges

Modern Motion has agreed a partnership with Doy Design, while confirming that its new range will be available in the New Year.

Gary Doy is known for his skill in designing aircraft and vehicle seating internationally. Gary Doy has designed a new branded product called INOVU, with the brand exclusive to Modern Motion.

Much of the make-up of the chair is based on new materials used to lighten but strengthen the product. The base mechanisms are designed and produced by Schultz Seating, internationally known for its excellence in structural mechanisms.

Modern Motion said that the copyright is protected, with the products expected to “make an impression on the market” following their “valuable research”, which has resulted in major production changes, making the whole chair sustainable.

Pete Andersson, Commercial Manager at Modern Motion, said: “There’s exciting stuff from Modern Motion for 2023, as many retailers have already agreed to work with us.

“Gary Doy has produced several designs for recliner chairs and mobility products for the INOVU brand for 2023, with the aim to provide verifiable data, and best practices to help us to design sustainability into our future products as this is important to us.

“We are so pleased that we have been able to have Doy Designs as a partner in these new products, as it puts Modern Motion up there on the international stage for design and concept.”

Modern Motion started just before the pandemic and has made steady progress with several top retailers in the UK and Ireland part of its client list. The company recently appointed Chris Lester as its Principal Agent in the UK.
