Furniture and homewares retailer Loaf has announced the appointment of Sam Perkins as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Sam will join the business from The Style, where he was in the position of CEO, in February next year and will succeed founder Charlie Marshall who will remain on the board at Loaf and a significant shareholder.
Charlie, who launched Loaf back in 2008, will focus on product and marketing, while also being a brand guardian.
Loaf has also announced the appointment of Nicky Line as Chief Product Officer, who joins from Made.com where she was in the senior role of Chief Product and Sourcing Officer. She will officially join the business in January 2023.
Loaf recently reported a growth in sales and profit as turnover climbed towards £100m. According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 March 2022, total sales rose 52% to £93.9m from £61.7m in 2021, an uptick of £32.2m. Pre-tax profit resulted at £12.7m, up from £7.2m recorded the previous year.
