Leekes announces new eCommerce partnership with Big Eye Deers

Family-owned retailer Leekes has announced a new eCommerce partnership with digital agency Big Eye Deers.

Leekes, having recently relaunched their website in February of this year, sought a new agency to enhance their eCommerce capabilities. After more than a decade of successful collaboration with Leeds-based agency Onstate, a change in platform direction from Onstate prompted Leekes to explore new partnerships.

This decision aligns with Leekes’ commitment to staying at the forefront of technology and providing an exceptional online shopping experience, marking a significant milestone as it continues to evolve its online presence.

The selection of Big Eye Deers as the new eCommerce partner is a strategic move for Leekes. The agency’s expertise align seamlessly with Leekes’ unique business profile, as Rhian Griffiths, Head of eCommerce & Marketing at Leekes, explains: “Established over 125 years ago, Leekes is a name synonymous with Welsh retail, and partnering with a Cardiff-based eCommerce agency is a great solution for us.

“Working with a team who not only understands our brand but have also shopped in our stores is a huge bonus. We believe that this partnership will help us to continue to grow and improve our new website.”

Steve Flanagan, Creative Director at Big Eye Deers, added: “We at Big Eye Deers are thrilled to announce our partnership with Leekes, a prestigious name in home department stores. With its rich heritage dating back to 1897, Leekes has evolved remarkably, expanding from a single store into a dynamic, family-owned chain.

“We are excited to collaborate with the team to support and elevate their e-commerce presence, enhancing the digital shopping experience for their customers. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for us, and we are honoured to work alongside such an esteemed Welsh business, blending their storied legacy with our innovative digital solutions.”
