Kitchen furniture manufacturer returns to profit

Kitchen furniture manufacturer Burbidge & Son has reported a return to profit.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2021, total sales registered £8.7m, slightly down from £8.9m in 2020, although this was over a 15-month comparable period.

UK sales stood at £8.4m, while revenues across Europe resulted at £302,000.

Burbidge posted an operation profit of £120,000, with an EBITDA at £360,000, improving from a loss of £465,000 against the previous period. Total income stood at £654,000.

Stated within its report, the company said the company is ‘in a sound position for the future’ and is ‘well placed’ to make further progress within its markets in the year ahead, adding that expectations moving forward are ‘positive’.
