Independent retailer to close store in Dover

Independent furniture retailer Price Less Furniture has announced plans to close one of its two stores this month.

The retailer revealed that it will close its Dover store, situated on Biggin Street, on 31 July 2023 due to the location no longer being “financially viable” anymore.

The move will see the end of the store which has traded in Dover since 2007, while bringing its estate down to one store.

Price Less Furniture said that its remaining store on East Street in Faversham, Kent, will remain open as usual.

Commenting on the plans, the company said: “Despite our negotiations with the landlord, the new rent demands were too high. It does not financially make sense for us to stay open. We have been at our store in Faversham since 2010 and this will remain open.”
