Independent homewares retailer to close store

Independent homeware retailer Harriman and Co has announced plans to close its store in the “near future”.

Co-owned by Drew Harriman and James Hempsall, who opened the shop in 2014, the business has confirmed it will close its store in Leicester’s St Martins soon after completing a closing down sale.

However, the business added that it will remain trading via its online operation.

“We announce that our St. Martins store in Leicester will be closing in the near future,” the business said. “We know you love our shop and this will be sad news for you.  We’ve had a fantastic time trading in St Martins. You have all been amazing, showing us lots of love and loyalty. For that, we are really very grateful.

“We’d also both like to thank all our past and present staff, customers, suppliers, local makers, and fellow traders for their support. We hope to see as many of you as possible, during our closing down sale, before the doors close for the final time.

“You’ll be pleased to know that we plan to continue Harriman & Co. online. So do continue to visit the website, stay on our mailing list, and follow our social media.”
