Independent furniture business suffers two fires

Fire crews from West Yorkshire Fire Service attended a blaze at independent furniture business Pineoakio after it suffered two fire outbreaks.

The business on Parkwood Street in Keighley suffered the first fire around 9am on 1 March and is understood to be the result of dust extraction machine.

Keighley, Fairweather Green and Shipley fire stations attended the scene and used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire, which took around two hours and also used special high-pressure fans to help clear smoke.

However, fire crews from Keighley, Bingley and Silsden fire stations reattended the location after the fire re-ignited at the Pineoakio furniture shop around 3am the following day. The fire service said that the second fire was extinguished quickly.
