Home furnishings retailer Dunelm has submitted plans to extend its store in Sittingbourne.

Situated at Sittingbourne Retail Park on Mill Way, Dunelm has filed a planning application with Swale Borough Council with the aim to extend the mezzanine floor within its existing site to accommodate an additional sales area and a café.

Stated in the plans to support the extension, Dunelm said: “The site would be used for the purposes of retail sales and a customer café.

“The site is within an area which is an established retail destination. The proposed development will complement existing facilities and aid the retention of Dunelm within the Retail Park.”

The council is currently reviewing the application.
