Furniture retailer refines core product ranges

Upholstered furniture and floorcoverings retailer ScS has revealed a ‘refining’ process of its core value products, as well as introducing new collaborations.

Detailed within its recent interim results report, ScS introduced new design aesthetics and brands to expand and improve its product offering.

“At the start of the period we launched our collaboration with Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen. The ‘LLB at Home’ collection features designer touches and luxurious fabrics at affordable prices and we are pleased with performance to date. We have also launched our new ‘Botanicals’ sofa range, a modern, on-trend look. The range has been positively received by our customers and has traded well,” the company said.

With some customers looking for shorter lead times, as part of the ‘ScS Living’ range, the company launched its new ‘quick delivery sofas’, with lead times of two weeks. The range consists of six new two and three-seater models with options of corner groups, swivel chairs and footstools.

Furthermore, ScS has recently introduced ‘The Dining Room @ ScS’ area within a select number of stores, which brings its dining range together in a dedicated area of the store and has proven ‘successful’.

The retailer has also expanded its flooring offer, and launched over 20 new products, including a number of low price point offerings ranging from £4.79 to £6.79 per square metre.

ScS added: “To improve the way we work with our suppliers we shared our refreshed strategy with our suppliers and launched a new supplier handbook.”
