The UK franchise behind US furniture cleaning and restoration business, ServiceMaster, has reported a growth in sales and profit.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2022, total system wide sales rose 15% to £54m from £46.8m in 2021. Earned revenue also increased 7.9% to £17.6m from £16.3m, while pre-tax profit resulted at £256,000, up from £175,000 recorded in the previous year.

ServiceMaster, which operates brands including ServiceMaster Clean and Restore, Merry Maids and Furniture Medic, said that system wide sales rose due securing new local and regional contracts for ServiceMaster Clean.

However, ServiceMaster Restore saw a drop in sales, attributed to exiting a single large national contract. The division did return to growth during Q4, while Furniture Medic experienced strong growth within the group.
