Furnishings manufacturer returns to profit as sales rise

Furniture manufacturer Leisure Furnishings has reported a growth in sales as well as a return to profit.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 September 2022, total sales rose 35% to £16.5m from £12.2m in 2021. Pre-tax profit returned in the year to £542,000, significantly improving from its loss of £275,000 recorded the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said: “Turnover has increased by £4.3m after what has been a successful year. There continues to be turbulence from the aftermath of the Covid pandemic, in particular the impact on our supply chain and that of our customers, which has had a knock-on effect.

“There continues to be regular prices increases across most of our commodities, along with shortages of foam and chassis across the industry. There continues to be a good demand for our products across the leisure industry, with a positive outlook for the year ahead.”
