Frinton-on-Sea homeware retailer relocates

Independent homewares and hardware retailer Thorntons of Frinton has relocated.

Situated in Connaught Avenue, the business has expanded its offering from its traditional hardware and DIY store to now including bespoke curtains, blinds and a soft furnishings service.

The business, which was formerly owned by Ken Thornton, has been passed down within the family to his granddaughter Elizabeth Young and his daughter-in-law Janice Thornton.

Commenting on the move, the company said: “We have moved! This may not be news to our local, regular customers, but our new shop is 122 Connaught Avenue.

“Thank you to all of our patrons for your patience while we were shut and for your continued support in our new location.”
