Frasers Group earmarks HQ move away from Derbyshire

Retail group Frasers has revealed plans to potentially relocate its headquarters away from Derbyshire to Warwickshire.

According to a planning application, Frasers Group, which includes brands such as Sofa.com, Amara Living, Sports Direct, FLANNELS and Frasers, intends to move from its current HQ in Shirebrook to a new campus as Ansty in Rugby.

If permission is granted, it is understood that the move will create an additional 7,500 jobs and will become the group’s global headquarters.

Although no decisions have been finalised, the planning documents outline the potential move, which has raised questions over jobs currently based in Shirebrook.

The group said that the proposals, designed by architects Grimshaw, demonstrate “a well-located, world-class platform” to further bolster its “elevation strategy, sector-leading ecosystem and growth ambitions”.
