Fitted furniture manufacturer recovers strongly as sales surge

Manufacturer of fitted kitchen and fitted bedroom furniture, Symphony Group, has reported a growth in turnover as sales reach almost £280m.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2021, total sales rose 28.8% to £278.1m from £216m in 2020.

EBITDA stood at £17.1m, up from £10.5m, while pre-tax profit resulted at £14.2m, up 79.7% compared to its profit of £7.9m recorded the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said that 2021 was a recovery year after the disruptive impact of Covid-19 in 2020, resulting in the business returning to a more normal level of sales volume and output.

Symphony added that underlying cash flow was strong during the period, while ending the year with a cash balance of £36m.
