Fitted furniture business falls into liquidation

Fitted wardrobe furniture specialist Famasc Interiors has entered liquidation owing creditors almost £180,000.

Martin Armstrong, of Turpin Barker Armstrong, was appointed as liquidator of Famasc Fitted Furniture Ltd on 25 July 2022.

Detailed in newly filed documents on Companies House, the business owed preferential creditor, the HMRC, a total of £35,800, as well as unsecured creditor claims valuing £138,000.

Within these claims includes £50,000 owed to Natwest Bank via a Bounce Back Loan, £26,000 owed to employees through redundancy and just over £55,000 owed to current and former directors.

It is expected that creditors will suffer a shortfall of the entire amount, totalling £174,000.
