Exports dent sales growth at contract furniture firm

Contract furniture supplier Eclipse Furniture has reported a slight decline in sales and profit.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2022, total sales fell 1.5% to £19.7m from £20m in 2021.

UK sales were up 1% from £19m to £19.2m, while EU sales declined 41% to £456,000 from £778,000. Rest of the world revenues were down 81% to £49,000 from £262,000.

Pre-tax profit resulted at £1m, down from £2.5m recorded the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company saw gross profit margin increase from 38% to 39%, while net assets valued a total of £5.9m, rising from £5.3m year-on-year.
