Danish furniture retailer to open 30th UK store

Danish furniture retailer JYSK has announced it will open its 30th UK store in Warrington this month.

Situated at Unit 5 on Riverside Retail Park in Warrington, the new store will be managed by David Marshall-Smith and features a layout of 1,284 square metres of floor space. It will officially open on 26 May 2023.

The new store will feature products from outdoor living collections, furniture, accessories, soft furnishings, and lighting. In addition, JYSK is also creating over 12 jobs.

To mark the grand opening, JYSK is offering all customers up to 70% off hundreds of products throughout opening week in the Warrington store.

“Warrington is our 30th UK store to date, and we’re really looking forward to the opening and bringing our home furnishings to the town,” comments Ciaron Hearns, JYSK Sales and Marketing Manager, UK & Ireland at JYSK.

“Our goal at JYSK (pronounced YOOSK) is to provide customers with a one-stop destination for all their scandi home decor needs, offering modern and comfortable solutions at affordable prices. The new Warrington JYSK store will also benefit from our new AnyVan partnership where customers will be able to enjoy the brilliant same day click and collect service or local next day delivery.”

This year, JYSK is focusing on bolstering its existing store portfolio to bring UK customers improved, refurbished stores. This includeds further plans to renovate six UK stores this year to ensure they’re providing the very best shopping environment for their product and customer.

JYSK has seen record results in the UK & Ireland during the financial year 2021/2022, increasing its turnover 11% despite challenging trading conditions. JYSK’s steady growth is owed to its continued focus by customers on home and garden improvements coupled with store expansion over the last year.
