Danish furniture maker completes SITS acquisition

Danish furniture manufacturer Actona Group has officially completed the acquisition of Polish furniture manufacturer SITS.

In an updated statement, the group said: “We are very pleased to announce that SITS now officially is part of Actona Group as the competition authorities have approved the acquisition.

“Targeted acquisitions are a central part of our strategy ‘Sustainable Business’. With the acquisition of Theca in January and now SITS, we have a very strong position within the upholstery market.

“It is no secret that we have an ambitious growth strategy. SITS is an acknowledged company and with them in the portfolio, we are able to create a number of synergies across the group such as more efficient production, better sourcing of materials, expanded sales channels and increased capacity,” says Jimmi Mortensen, CEO of Actona Group.

SITS, which was founded as a family-owned business by the Swedes Erik and Marianne Näsström in 1993, is a manufacturer and supplier of upholstered furniture for the European market.
