Continued investments drive growth at kitchen furniture maker

Kitchen furniture manufacturer Ultima Kitchens has reported a growth in turnover as sales surpassed £70m.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2021, total sales rose 21.3% to £74.5m from £61.4m in 2020.

Gross profit increased from £34.6m to £41.3m, while pre-tax profit resulted at £18.3m, up 21.1% from £15.1m recorded the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said that it has continued to invest in technology and new facilities, with £2.9m invested during the year on machinery and a further £2.4m on delivery vehicles.

“This investment was made in order to increase manufacturing capacity and reflects the growth of the company’s turnover and expectations of continued growth in future years,” the business added.
