Carpet designer and manufacturer Burmatex has reported a growth in sales and profit.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2021, total sales rose 8.9% to £15.8m from £14.5m in 2020.

Burmatex, part of the AIREA Floor Coverings Group, recorded a pre-tax profit of £1.2m, up 103% from £591,000 against the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said that operating return on sales was 8.5%, up from 4.7%, while working capital to sales percentage was 27.8% compared to 28.4% year-on-year.
