Bensons launches new Simply by Bensons budget range

Beds and mattresses retailer Bensons for Beds has announced the launch of its new Simply by Bensons range.

The new Simply by Bensons range of beds, mattresses, bases and headboards, alongside duvets and pillows gives consumers more value for money options, offering a five-year guarantee.

Simply by Bensons combines Bensons high quality craft skills with affordability and sustainability through innovative materials such as fabrics and yarns made using recycled plastic bottles.

The range includes seven mattresses in 11 comfort ratings, developed using carefully selected fillings and open coil or pocket springs for durability and comfort. All the mattresses are foam free.

Fillings use fabrics containing a minimum of 42 per cent polyester using PET from recycled plastic bottles to make innovative premium quality yarns.

As for bases, a choice of two bases in five colours in available, either a padded top divan with up to four drawers or an end-opening Ottoman. Headboards feature two matching designs, contemporary or classic, in two colours.

The launch follows this monthā€™s research by Bensons which showed how Britons are planning smart ways to tackle energy costs such as turning off the heating in some rooms. Overall, the proportion who expect to turn off the heating in parts of their home is 86 per cent ā€“ and as high as 96 per cent in some parts of the country.

The poll shows how seriously Britons are taking the threat of steep rises in utility bills and are planning smart ways to tackle higher energy costs.

Bensons marketing and innovations director Lara Purcell said: ā€œWeā€™ve listened carefully to what people are looking for and they told us they want quality, style and affordability combined with sustainability and individuality.

ā€œWe understand the constraints many customers will be facing in the coming months and the new range gives them more options whether theyā€™re looking at their main bedroom or a guest room.ā€
