Beds retailer moves into new Peterborough store

Beds and mattress retailer Bensons for Beds has moved into its new store in Peterborough.

Bensons, which has its main manufacturing centre in Cambridgeshire, has taken Unit 2 at Brotherhood Shopping Park on Brotherhood Close in Walton, Peterborough.

The new 4,443sqft store opens on Friday 31 March and employs five colleagues.

To celebrate the opening, Bensons will be offering an additional 10 per cent off items bought over £650 from opening until Easter.

The new store has been designed to showcase the wide range of beds and mattresses on offer at Bensons – the majority produced at its own manufacturing centre 20 miles across the county in Huntingdon.

That portfolio includes Slumberland, Simply by Bensons range and the recently launched, new and exclusive range of beds and mattresses under its heritage Staples & Co brand which has been re-inventing sleep since 1895.

As well as its exclusive in-house brands, in August Bensons also it unveiled its first collection of luxury mattresses from British maker Hypnos to broaden choice for customers. Other brands available include Tempur and Silentnight.

Bensons’ Peterborough manager David Simpkins said: “I can’t wait to open the doors at our new Peterborough store where we’ll be showing off the best of what Bensons for Beds has to offer to customers in and around Cambridgeshire – not least because through our manufacturing facility in Huntingdon, we’re already an important part of the local economy.

“My whole team will be dedicated to one thing – giving our customers everything they need to get the best night’s sleep.”
