Bed retailer ceases to trade; calls in liquidators

Bedroom furniture and mattress retailer The Sleep Station has ceased trading and is in the process of being wound up.

The Sleep Station, owned by Matthew Chambers, has instructed FA Simms & Partners Limited to assist with the closure. The business ceased to operate on 13 March 2024.

“The Company has sadly ceased trading,” an announcement said. “We are not taking any further customer orders, but please note some goods are still in transit and will arrive in the coming days.

“We have engaged the help of FA Simms & Partners Limited to assist with now placing the Company into Creditors Voluntary Liquidation as is the appropriate solution to ensure the Company is legally wound up.

“FA Simms & Partners Limited based in Leicestershire (01455 444 555) will be in contact with all known creditors of the Company within the coming weeks, communication is normal via post. My sincerest apologies for any issues this may cause and the decision to close was not taken lightly.”

The website has since been taken down following the announcement.
