Bed manufacturer grows sales in competitive market

Beds and mattresses manufacturer Dreamland Beds has reported a growth in sales as turnover reached almost £14m.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 April 2022, total sales rose 4% to £13.9m from £13.4m in 2021.

Pre-tax profit resulted at £379,000, slightly down from £430,000 recorded in the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said: “Despite a stiff competition in the local bedding market, the company has been able to capture and retain a sizable share. All this has been achieved by maintaining a strict quality control in production as well as by timely investment in relevant modern production equipment and machinery.

“Due to an increase in demand for beds and mattresses after the Covid pandemic, the company’s business has shown steep growth again.”
