Bed manufacturer Millbrook Group has reported a growth in sales as turnover climbed over £30m.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 June 2022, total sales rose 24.7% to £31.3m from £25.1m in 2021. Pre-tax profit resulted at £6.1m, up from £4m recorded in the previous year.

UK sales were up 9.9% to £27.6m from £25.1m, while EU revenues stood at £3.7m compared to no overseas trade the prior year.

Stated within its report, the company said that a number of new customers meant expectations for the second half of the year were good within its beds business.

The contract business had suffered due to the pandemic, but as restrictions eased, turnover returned to the levels it had been previously. 

Overall, sales were in line with that of 2020, when revenues were also at £31.1m.
