Bed retailer Bensons for Beds and flooring business Carpet Barn have opened in a new store in Salisbury.

Bensons for Beds and Carpet Barn have moved into Unit 3 at Bourne Retail Park, which officially opened earlier this month.

The retailers will share the unit, with Carpet Barn occupying the ground floor and Bensons is on the first floor.

For Bensons, the new store marks a return to Salisbury following the closure of its store on Southampton Road Retail Park in 2021, with the new store also including its new fascia and internal signage branding.

Zaniz Charles, who has been with the company for four years, has been appointed as store manager, moving over from its Andover site.

As for Carpet Barn, the new store adds to its existing portfolio of four, becoming its first location outside Dorset and Hampshire, while creating a debut partnership with Bensons for Beds.

On the launch, Carpet Barn said it had been searching for new locations to expand for ‘sometime’ and when the opportunity cam available to work with Bensons, it proved a good fit to help ‘build our credibility and deliver footfall growth considerably’.
