Direct-to-consumer retailer WoolOvers Group has announced the purchase of the business and assets of Scotts Limited, a privately-owned mail order and eCommerce business.

The addition of Scotts into the WoolOvers Group complements the overall product offering for all of its customers and will secure 150 jobs.

Scotts is a UK mail order and eCommerce business operating within the homewares, gifts, health and garden sectors, trading under the names ‘Scotts’ and ‘Scotts of Stow’.  It is a direct- to-consumer omnichannel retailer deploying multiple eCommerce websites including Amazon and eBay stores, along with mail order catalogues and a flagship store in Stow-on-the-Wold, Cotswolds.  

Scotts had operated successfully for over 25 years and has an active and loyal customer database totalling almost half a million shoppers. However, a confluence of factors in 2022, necessitated the sale of the business and assets. 

WoolOvers Group is an international direct-to-consumer retailer based in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. The Group currently operates three lifestyles brands aimed at the mature market; WoolOvers, PURE Collection and Roama. Like Scotts it operates via catalogues and eCommerce websites and has expanded its range to customers through partnerships with its “Friends” suppliers.
