Women in Furniture Network confirm three speakers for upcoming event

The Women in Furniture Network (WIFN) will be taking their second event to the Iron House Gallery in Birmingham on the 25 October.

The event is based around the theme of Mentorship and how it can positively benefit a woman’s career in the furniture industry. It will feature three speakers at the event, which include:

Emma Botham, eBay, Senior Category Manager (Furniture)

Emma is a Senior Category Manager at eBay specialising in the furniture category. She’s worked at eBay for 2 and a half years following 10 years of experience buying home textiles.

At eBay she’s responsible for managing bedroom furniture, working with companies to grow their furniture business on eBay. Emma is passionate about sustainability which is why eBay is the perfect fit, being able to work with companies and brands who sell more sustainably through eBay.

Heather Agan de Visser, Fierce Coaching, Coach, Consultant & Speaker

Heather is a speaker, coach and ‘creator of space’. She helps people to connect to their unique inner power, and live life feeling more energised, connected and confident. Working with organisations and individuals, Heather offers workshops, keynote talks and group programmes in person, online & hybrid. She creates space for people to explore their inner wisdom, teaching simple, effective tools that have life-long impact. She has a talent for getting to the heart of a subject, taking on big topics & making them easy to understand.

Heather combines leadership & listening, philosophy, behavioural science & deep wisdom to inspire, support & lead her clients as they step into their power and live from connection and confidence. Zoe Bonser, Portfolio Director, Retail Division, Clarion Events

Zoë has worked in the Events and Exhibition industry for over 20 years for leading publication and events companies such as; Euromoney Institutional Investor Plc, Haymarket Media Group, i2i Events, Ascential, ITE Group and most recently Clarion Events where she held roles as Show Director for the consumer Baby Shows and now Portfolio Director for the trade Retail division.

As Portfolio Director, Zoë currently oversees 7 live events in the retail sector including January Furniture Show and Manchester Furniture Show, Home & Gift, Top Drawer Spring and Autumn, Scotland Trade Fair Spring and Autumn, as well as the digital platform REVEAL.  Zoë is passionate about supporting young talent, coaching and mentoring and in particular empowering women within the work place to fulfil their potential. Zoë has successfully launched 3 networks dedicated to women, latterly the Women in Furniture Network, which aims to improve the visibility of women in the furniture sector as well as providing much needed networking opportunities and access to a new mentoring platform.
