The UK division of online furniture retailer Wayfair has reported another growth in sales and profit.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2022, total sales rose 48% to £83.4m from £56.5m in 2021, adding to its growth of 14% from £49.7m in 2020.

Pre-tax profit resulted at £2.7m, up 94% from £1.4m recorded the previous year.

Stated within its report, Wayfair said that operating margin increased to 5% from 2%. During the year it continued to grow its warehouse and fulfilment services in the UK to maximise European growth.

During the period, Wayfair UK saw employee numbers rise by 19% to 847 from 709 against the previous year.
