Wayfair begins AllModern store rollout in USA

Global furniture retailer Wayfair has announced the opening of its first AllModern store concept with two more to follow.

The first AllModern store is located in Lynnfield, Massachusetts, and will offer a ‘really unique shopping experience’ that blends ‘high-touch service with tech-first convenience and inspiration to help customers find their favourite products and design their homes’, as well as free design services.

The Lynnfield shop is the first of two store openings planned for this year with the second being in Dedham, Massachusetts, and the third in Burlington, Massachusetts, which are expected to open in autumn.

Wayfair first tested out physical retail in 2018 and over the years launched a number of pop-ups and one permanent store. That store, under the Wayfair name, closed last year.

In most trading, Wayfair reported net revenues of $3bn, down 14% decline against the same period last year, while its net loss reached $319m.
