The UK division of US office furniture manufacturer Herman Miller has reported a growth in sales as turnover climbed towards £150m.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 3 June 2023, total sales rose 11% to £149.6m from £134.5m in 2022.
Pre-tax profit resulted at £6.9m, down from £22.2m recorded in the previous year.
UK and Ireland sales were up 5.6% to £57.6m from £54.5m, while EU sales fell 0.5% to £67.9m from £68.3m. Sales across the rest of the world increased 106% from £11.6m to £24m.
Stated within its report, the company said: “Despite an increase in revenue, increases to staff costs, reduced dividend income and increases in material costs have impacted the company’s profitability in the short term.”
