UK market drives growth once again at specialist furniture group

Office, hospitality, healthcare and home furniture manufacturer Senator has reported a surge in sales as turnover surpassed £200m.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2022, total sales rose 35.8% to £214.3m from £157.8m in 2021.

UK sales rose 26.5% to £149.7m from £118.3m, while EU revenues fell slightly to £6.4m from £6.5m. Sales outside the EU increased 69% to £55.7m from £32.9m.

Pre-tax profit resulted at £16.6m, up from its profit of £4.8m recorded the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said: “The group has continued its strong performance and has seen sales and profit growth across all its group subsidiaries.

“2023 has started well and the directors remain confident of their strategy to continue to deliver long-term growth and profitability.”
