The Cotswold Company expands with new store opening

The Cotswold Company, the digitally-led premium handcrafted furniture and homeware brand, has announced the opening of its ninth UK store as it continues to expand and deliver against its digitally-led omni-channel growth strategy.

Located on 12 Northgate Street in Bath, the store will open on 14 December 2023, which is approximately 4,000sqft in a historic Georgian building, will create approximately eight new jobs.

The new Bath store is part of the business’ plans to selectively expand its retail portfolio over the coming year to enable more customers to experience the brand and its products in an experience and service-led retail environment.

Founded in 1996 in the heart of the Cotswolds, the Cotswold Company sells thoughtfully designed, carefully crafted premium furniture and accessories through a digital-led omni-channel model.

At the heart of its offer are responsibly sourced materials and expert craftsmanship. Its timeless products for the home and garden – from comfy beds to roomy wardrobes and sink-in sofas – champion traceable timber and are designed for life and built to last.

Reflecting growing consumer demand for high-quality, made-to-last furniture, as well as the success of its ROI-focused marketing initiatives, the Cotswold Company has expanded significantly in recent years.  Since 2019, revenues have grown by more than 57% to over £86.2m. Additionally, the brand has expanded its store estate, opening three new experience-led retail stores since November 2021 to support the business’ growing e-commerce business.

As part of its strategy to strengthen its UK position, the Cotswold Company – which is backed by True Global – will open its 10th store in early 2024, as it continues to deliver against its growth strategy to develop as a leading lifestyle homeware brand.
