Taxman owed almost £400k following kitchen manufacturer insolvency

Kitchen furniture manufacturer Pullman Interiors has been placed into liquidation, owing the taxman almost £400,000.

Eric Walls (and Wayne Harrison, both of KSA Group Ltd, were appointed as joint liquidators of Pullman Interiors Ltd on 13 December 2022.

Detailed in newly filed documents on Companies House, the business owed preferential creditor, the HMRC, a sum of £380,000, while employees are owed £19,800.

Secured creditor, Close Brothers Assets Finance, owed £61,000, is expected to be repaid from company asset realisations of £70,000, leaving around £8,000 for other creditors.

These include £74,000 is owed to the trade, a further £4,800 owed to staff and £77,000 owed to associated creditors. It is understood that creditors will suffer an overall shortfall of £548,000.
