Specialist furniture maker reflects on ‘fantastic’ year

Education and office furniture manufacturer Metalliform has reported a growth in sales and profit.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 June 2022, total sales rose 25.8% to £14.6m from £11.6m in 2021. Pre-tax profit resulted at £1.4m, up from £1.1m recorded in the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said it has faced another “challenging year” in terms of raw material pricing and passing this increase onto the customer. “We started the year off with reduced margins which we thankfully managed to recover later in the year.

“Overall, the performance over a difficult few years’ has been fantastic and we are well positioned to continue this level of activity and profitability.”

Back in November 2022, Metalliform was sold to Dunham Massey Investment Group. Metalliform retained its senior management and now has access to a wider client base and new sources of funding under its new ownership.
