With a team led by Berlin-based partner Dominik Rompza, law firm Noerr has advised the Spanish Flex Bedding Group on a strategic acquisition in Germany.

The internationally operating bedding manufacturer, a leader in the Spanish market, is taking over SCHRAMM Werkstätten GmbH, Germany’s leading manufacturer of luxury mattresses and beds.

With the acquisition, the Spanish Flex Group, which owns UK based bed manufacturer Vispring and retailer And So To Bed, is strengthening its leading global position in the premium segment, which already contributes 40% to the group’s turnover.

Flex currently employs over 2,000 people and has nine production sites worldwide. In addition to having its own trading offices in Asia and Europe, it has well-established retail networks in the UK, Spain and Portugal.

Flex intends to maintain SCHRAMM as an independent brand and develop it further.
