Sofas & Stuff submits plans to open in former Sofa Workshop store

Furniture business Sofas & Stuff has revealed plans to open a new store in a former Sofa Workshop site in Nottingham.

Sofas & Stuff has submitted a planning application to Nottingham Council where the business proposed new signage for the former Sofa Workshop store in Castle Boulevard.

The application states for ‘three internally illuminated fascia panel signs, one internally illuminated totem panel, three non-illuminated car park signs and small window vinyls’ will be implemented at the location.

Sofa Workshop closed earlier this year after entering administration, with the vacant site proposal being welcomed by East Midlands Chamber director of policy and external affairs Chris Hobson.

Chris said that Castle Boulevard is a ‘thriving’ area that is home to other furniture and homeware retailers, with the new plans expected to ‘safeguard jobs and potentially even create new roles’.
