Sham Alaq, Commercial Director at Sofa Factory – part of the Bentinck furniture group, reveals what the company will be showcasing during the upcoming January Furniture Show.
Sofa factory, part of the Bentinck’s group, has continued to deliver growth throughout 2022 and looks forward to exhibiting at the January Furniture Show 2023 exhibition. To maintain their ongoing momentum and increase growth further, the company is launching multiple new models across their pricing strategy from Modern Living to Designer Living.
Sham Alaq, Commercial Director at Sofa Factory, explained: “Our rise with independent retailers and groups alike has been due to our drive for quality, commercial pricing and speed of delivery. Last year was a challenging year due to the supply chain issues that have affected, fabric, timber and latterly foam, but we have managed to fulfil our order bank for 2022.
“Although 2023 could be a difficult year due to market conditions, we anticipate continued growth in all sectors and are ensuring our supply chain is robust to ensure a seamless service to our valued retail partners.”
The new models Sofa Factory are launching are aimed at volume sales, with “great quality and commercial pricing” says Sham, as he continues: “The market is evolving, as are we, and we look forward to producing a net carbon zero range in the coming year in addition to our other ranges. So, from price, style and sustainability, with the added security of a market leading delivery time, I believe we have something for all retailers and the year ahead is going to be a milestone year for the business.”
Operating as a family-owned company, based in Gateshead on the banks of the river Tyne and occupying a 129,000sqft factory sat in the middle of a seven acre site, Sham said that the upcoming JFS event, their second time at the NEC in Birmingham, will be an exciting few days with the unveiling of their new products.
“We will have offers on new floor stock models to ensure our retailers get off to a flying start. We look forward to seeing all our retail partners and new customers at the exhibition, where the team will be delighted to present the range to them.”
